3 Bridges Consulting was brought on in early 2019 for one of the largest HVAC and Plumbing companies in the Sacramento area. Over the course of the year we changed their buying strategy and creative. In the back half of 2019 we created a strategy to “own” the HVAC market in 2020. That strategy was focused on efficiency and the most competitive CPM’s across all media.

As a result in 2020 we went from 2 broadcast stations to all 6 while reducing the entire media spend by eliminating waste in other advertising channels. We included weather sponsorships across 3 different stations. The most important part of our strategy was the shift in creative. We focused on their local 40 year history and the owner’s commitment to the community. We also had a little fun with some spots that stood out in a crowded space.

We were also forced in 2020 to quickly pivot our creative during Covid-19 crisis. While the competition was cutting their spending we kept their media intact while changing messaging to focus on this company as an “essential business”. This along with our strategy from earlier in the year, helped Gilmore to their best April, and best May for revenue and profit in the 40 year history of the company.
